Cubs Spotley Camp

Cubs had an adventure over the weekend.....wet but that didn’t stop them lighting fires, cutting wood and doing a night hike..... dampened the dinner cooking but not the damper bread. Lots of wet tents for leaders to dry!

Scouts and Beavers Camp

The sun was shining as 25 Beavers and Scouts camped at 'Sceaver' camp. Making friends, learning life skills and enjoying the great outdoors. One day was spent learning new skills, chopping wood, preparing kindling, lighting fires, making meatballs, S’mores and a sing song around the camp fire. Lots of fun and games.

Gold Expedition

Over the weekend of 3rd – 5th November, the Scouts had a sleepover at Knights Lodge where we got back to basics and spent an industrious weekend of campsite service.

Immense fun was had clearing the stream of undergrowth and overgrowth and we were all very proud of the work we achieved.

Also over this weekend, 4 of our eldest Scouts undertook a 2 day expedition as part of their Chief Scouts Gold award. They made their way from Little Harrington to Great Doddington with an overnight camp at Overstone.

Well done to all for a weekend of achievements.

Cubs Night at the Museum

The Cubs loved spending the night at Warwick Museum.

We arrived Saturday evening and had the museum to ourselves. The Cubs took part in a Lego challenge before having Pizza for supper and watching a movie before settling down for bed.

After breakfast we explored the historic Warwick town trail before heading back to the museum to be collected.

It was a brilliant sleepover and definitely one we will do again.

40th Anniversary AGM

To mark our special birthday we held a party at our annual general meeting that included a BBQ, a boot throwing competition, a rope making stool, a toy archery range and so much more. Eventually everyone got settled and we handed out rewards and badges to the young people for all of their hard work this year.

There was also a special thanks to GSL Elaine , AGSL Malcolm and Chairman Graham for showing us the way and for encouraging us to be simply the best.
